This research aims to determine the correlation between family empowerment and Self-Management in patients with a history of type II diabetes mellitus in Tulungagung Regency. This research was quantitative research with a cross-sectional survey method. The research instrument used the Family Empowerment Scale (FES) and The Diabetes Self-Management (DSMQ) questionnaire to determine self-management. The sampling method was carried out using a purposive technique, resulting in a sample size of 320 respondents. The independent variable was family empowerment (X) while the dependent variable was Self-Management (Y). Based on the Spearman rho test results, the ρ value = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a relationship between family empowerment and Self-Management in patients with a history of type II diabetes mellitus in Tulungagung Regency. With a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.7, it can be concluded that the strength of the relationship is strong. The direction of the relationship is linear (+), which means that the better the level of family empowerment obtained by DM sufferers, the better the level of Self-Management possessed by the respondent. Based on these results, can be used as consideration for related parties to improve the Self-Management of DM sufferers through providing family empowerment.

Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus; Family-Empowerment; Self-Management
2024-06-27T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Penelitianhttps://ejournal.iiknutuban.ac.id/index.php/jp/article/view/367EFEKTIFITAS TERAPI SELF HELP GROUP (SHG) TERHADAP TINGKAT STRES DIMASA LANSIA2024-06-21T08:54:14+07:00Intan Munawarohintanm@stikestulungagung.ac.idShulhan Arief Hidayatshulhan@stikestulungagung.ac.idOssi Dwi Prasetioossidwi@gmail.comAngga Miftakhul Nizaranggamiftakhulnzar@gmail.com
The elderly group has very complex health problems, both physiological and psychological. Aromatherapy, a non-pharmacological method, can safely reduce pain without negative side effects. It involves the use of essential oils as therapeutic agents, absorbed through the skin or olfactory system. This study aims to evaluate the impact of aromatherapy on pain reduction in colorectal cancer patients. This study uses a scoping review methodology based on PRISMA guidelines. The review encompasses three databases: PubMed, Sage, and ScienceDirect, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. Specific search terms were utilized based on inclusion criteria for article selection. Out of 2403 research articles, six were chosen after screening abstracts and full texts to identify studies meeting the inclusion criteria. The analysis identified various types of aroma therapy used for pain reduction. The studies reviewed indicated that aromatherapy was administered through massage and inhalation using essential oils like lavender, lemon, peppermint, geranium, and others. Aromatherapy showed significant positive effects in reducing pain compared to placebo or usual care control groups, as measured by the visual analog scale (VAS). The study's findings suggest that aromatherapy effectively reduces stress, depression, and pain perception in patients with colorectal cancer.

Keywords: Aroma therapy; Colorectal Cancer; Pain

2024-07-02T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Penelitianhttps://ejournal.iiknutuban.ac.id/index.php/jp/article/view/374PENGARUH KONSUMSI REBUSAN DAUN SALAM SEBAGAI ANTIINFLAMASI TERHADAP NYERI SENDI OSTEOARTHRITIS 2024-07-01T08:33:24+07:00Anis Murniatianismurniati85@gmail.comEny Masrurohenystikesta@gmail.comSuciatisuciati@stikestulungagung.ac.idYan FuanaYanfuana90@gmail.com
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint disorder that affects all parts of the joint, especially cartilage, can have an impact on articular structural damage and loss of synovial joint function as well as causing chronic pain and requires treatment that has minimal side effects and cheap, so research on bay leaves has been carried out as an alternative solution. The research aims to determine the impact of consuming boiled bay leaves as an anti-inflammatory in reducing osteoarthritis pain. Quasi-experimental research design, use pretest posttest group design approach. Pain measurement uses the NRS scale. Samples were taken with a total sampling of 38 osteoarthritis sufferers in Wates Village. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon sign rank test with an interpretation error rate of α = 0.05. The result was that almost half of the respondents, 17 people (44.7%) experienced a decrease in the pain scale to mild pain after being given the consumption of bay leaf decoction with a P value = 0.000, meaning that there was an effect of consuming bay leaf decoction on reducing pain in osteoarthritis patients. Bay leaf bioled has effects on reducing pain in osteoarthritis sufferers because bay leaves contain tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids and essential oils, while flavonoids play an active role as anti-inflammatory by inhibiting transcription factors such as NF-κB. Inhibition of NFκB is part of the activity of flavonoids in inflammatory responses. This study aims to identify the relationship between resilience and post-traumatic growth in chronic kidney disease patients in the hemodialysis unit of RSUD Blambangan in 2023. To determine the relationship between resilience and post-traumatic growth in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy. This quantitative study used a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 65 respondents undergoing hemodialysis therapy. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman test with the assistance of SPSS for Windows. The analysis results showed a significant relationship between resilience levels and post-traumatic growth in chronic kidney disease patients (ρ value = 0.001). Most respondents exhibited high resilience levels (58.5%) and moderate post-traumatic growth (96.9%).
